Michael Oremus Memorial Scholarships

The foundation was founded due to overwhelming support from the community for a scholarship in Michael’s name at Highland High School. the Foundation has now expanded it’s scholarship funding to other area high schools.

Scholarships are presented to students who clearly demonstrate a commitment to public service and express a desire to pursue a career involving public service. The student must also show intent to enroll in an accredited post secondary or trade school.

  • June 2009
    • two $1500 scholarships were awarded to Highland High School graduates, Patrick Donovan and Robert Tracz.
    • $1000 scholarship awarded to Daniel McHale, Marlboro High School graduate.
    • $1000 scholarship awarded to , New Paltz High School.
    • In June 2008, two $1500 Scholarships were awarded to Highland High School graduates, Katelynn Drake and Jesse Scriber. 
    • In June 2007, two $1500 scholarships were awarded to Highland High School graduates, Matthew Thibault and Raiana Wilk.
