The Michael Oremus Alumni Soccer Tournament
In loving memory of Highland’s 2002 graduate, Corporal Michael Oremus, his friends and the Michael Oremus Foundation host an annual alumni soccer game in Michael’s memory. Highland is a town with a longstanding soccer tradition, including multiple state championships and a youth soccer program that has strengthened the community it serves. On November 12th, 2006 the first Michael Oremus Alumni Soccer game was held at the Hudson Valley Sports dome and over 100 Highland alumni soccer players joined the action. This event also serves as the foundation’s top fundraising event.
Please join us in playing soccer in Michael’s memory. All alumni of the Highland High School soccer teams along with Michael’s friends are invited to play in this tournament honoring Michael.
The tournament is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2008. More information on the tournament and a kick-off cocktail party to be held on Saturday night, November 15, will be posted soon.
